Winter Pre-Retirement Class Ends

Another group of people have completed the Pre-Retirement Program and now are able to comfortably make some final changes in preparation to retire. Both evening and afternoon groups, although as different as the other, had many of the same concerns and questions.

Each program brings at least one new situations to the surface, making the program a perpetual learning experience.

Beneficiaries became a major topic of discussion and more importantly, the question was, “are your beneficiaries current and correct.” Have you go through a divorce and remember to change you Beneficiaries? Have you remarried and put your new spouse on? Are your current beneficiaries who you really want to receive your benefits? These questions may need to be asked by you before it’s to late.

Since General Motors changed to Fidelity, to handle the Healthcare Benefits, have you checked your beneficiaries to be sure they are the ones you had listed? We found out that during this change over, some peoples beneficiaries were lost and needed to be updated. I recommend everyone take the time to check out who, and if they are still listed, your beneficiaries are.

After the last program, both groups Celebrated with a wonderful cake and a spaghetti dinner.
